As our Eyelash Extensions are bonded to your natural lashes, the life of your Lash Extension will depend on your own natural eyelash cycle which is usually between 4-6 weeks. As your natural lash falls out, so will the extension. However the life of your Eyelash Extensions can be extended with good aftercare. Once your lashes begin their cycle, you can make an appointment for an infill to replace the shed ones.

In short, no. As we bond the individual lash extension to your own natural lashes with a special glue, we require a clean skin and no makeup. We recommend not wearing any mascara – particularly waterproof mascara for 2-3 days prior to your Lash Extension appointment as the oils contained within the mascara will affect the life of your extensions.

We also recommend not wearing any waterproof mascara or liquid eyeliner at all after you have your extensions applied – again the oils in the mascara will reduce the life of your extensions.

For optimal results after your Lash Extensions have been applied:

• Leave your lashes sit for 12-24 hours after your initial appointment. This will allow the bond to cure and your lashes to settle.
• Within the first 24-48 hours of application, it is important not to get your lashes wet or expose them to steam. Be particularly careful when showering – don’t stay in there for too long.
• Try not to rub you face with a towel to dry, allow your lashes to dry naturally.
• Try not to sleep on, rub or touch your Lash Extensions, please do not brush your lashes.
• Wash your Lash Extensions every day. This is particularly important to remove dirt and build up of oils and avoid any infections.
• Use makeup sparingly or with extra care, oils contained within makeup, sunscreens may affect the bond. Choose oil free makeup and skincare.

If you are experiencing an eye infection, conjunctivitis, eye irritation or have had recent eye surgery including laser eye surgery, we recommend postponing your appointment until your condition has completely cleared.

If you have any pre-existing cosmetic allergies or pronounced skin allergies or sensitivities, we recommend an allergy patch test prior to your lash appointment. Please also advise us of any allergies when making your appointment.
